Neighbors Helping Neighbors…

The Volunteer Fire Service.

Everyday People Like You!!

Have you ever thought of becoming a volunteer firefighter?

Anderson Island Fire/Rescue is always looking for people who are interested in becoming part of a special team.  Enjoy a rewarding experience and make new friendships, all while serving the community you live in and protecting your neighbors.  No experience is necessary… and all volunteers will receive the equipment and training required for the job at no cost to you.  Our volunteer firefighters provide fire and EMS services to people on the island 24/7.  We would love for you to become a part of our team.

Benefits include:  Attendance stipend, pension, life insurance, and airlift insurance.

We also have a cadet program for ages 16-18.  Our cadet firefighters train with regular volunteer firefighters; however, they are limited in what they can do.  Labor and Industries laws state a member under the age of 18 will not be place in a live fire situation or climb a ladder past 8’ high.

Please call or visit the station for more information and to get your volunteer application.  You’re welcome to come and attend our drill as well.  We hold regular drills on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm – 9:00 pm.  We look forward to seeing you!
