Island residents and visitors: We urge you to celebrate responsibly this weekend. It's dry; very dry. Please take a look at your surroundings before you light those fireworks and use common sense when doing so. A wildfire on the island would be disastrous.

Anderson Island is part of Unincorporated Pierce County. Allowable fireworks discharge times are as follows:

June 29-July 3: 9am -11pm
July 4: 9am - 12 midnight
July 5: 9am - 11pm

Please keep in mind that fireworks are not allowed in the Riviera Community.

Let's all celebrate Independence Day legally and safely.

As always, with any emergency please dial 9-1-1.
