Your
Anderson Island Firefighters and EMT’s need your help. Many island
homes are extremely difficult to locate due to non-existent house
numbers or house numbers that are not visible, especially at night. In
addition, many homes are located on shared or lengthy private drives
that lack directional signing. If we go to the wrong house it may cause
significant delays in our response times and there
may not be sufficient turnaround area for our vehicles. Please do not
assume that a fire truck or an ambulance will always be approaching your
house from the direction of the fire station. We do our best to locate
your home for any emergencies and service calls at all hours of the day
and night. Please assist the Anderson Island Firefighters Association
by participating in our campaign to install proper house numbers so that
we can provide better service to our community. Here’s how you can help: We would like to ask all of the island residents to order a highly visible and reflective address sign from the fire station. Our address signs are 6” x 18” blue panels with 3” white reflective numbers. To get one of these great looking signs contact the fire station Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at (253) 884-4040, stop in to obtain an order form, or print a form from the link below. We are happy to provide and install these signs for the community by a suggested donation of only $15 - which is to cover the cost of the materials used to make your address sign. As always, we thank you for your support! -Anderson Island Firefighters Association |
